Corrupt Cops in Chicago

          I'm writing this muckraker article about the shooting of a black teenager in Chicago. This article was written by Ben Austen, who writes for The New York Times Magazine, on April 20th 2016. This teenager was shot 16 times by the police officer, and after video proof was released to the public, everyone was furious. The shooting was covered up for more than a year and showed that Chicago Police Department tries to hide a lot of crimes committed by officers. The shooting and hiding of this event caused riots of people marching down the streets of Chicago holding signs saying "Fire Rahm." Chicago had more fatal shootings by the police than any other American city from 2010 to 2014, but still police officers in Chicago haven't received any punishment. The whole reason the 17 year old got shot was because there was a break in at a parking lot. He was walking away from the scene with a knife in his hand. Then the officers followed him and waited for 4 more patrol cars to pull up and then when they got to him they opened fire. The cops tried to cover it up immediately. They said that they ordered him to drop the knife and  one said he came after him with it. Three weeks later the 17 year old's mother hired at tourneys to help her look into the case. There were three anonymous witnesses but no recordings or camera clips. They then later asked for dash cam footage and found out the real story.
