Bacha Bazi

Bacha Bazi, which stands for "boy play", is a type of child slavery in Afghanistan. Boys are kidnapped at a young ages and are abused and raped. There have only been three boys that have escaped and told their story, but all of them are in hiding because they are scared that the commanders may come for them. I feel that it is a touchy topic to talk about, especially if you were there. Those boys have been treated poorly, and since they didn't go to school, because they got kidnapped, they don't really know anything so all they do is dance. I think the government there should take more action on this subject and make it highly illegal, and if caught, it should be immediate death. The boys really don't know any better because they have been dancers and used as sex slaves for a long part of their life. They had to dress up as girls, wear dresses and makeup, and the boys didn't know better. I also believe that instead of sentencing the commanders they could just throw them in a deep hole in the ground. I can only imagine what the boys must of thought when they got to see there family again and didn't have to dance or get abused anymore. I think even the military should take action on this subject because it is part of, technically, a child hostage situation. All in all I think that it's a very touchy subject and people in Afghanistan should take more action upon it.
